Adobe Photoshop CS3

Hi, I downloaded Adobe Photoshop CS3 and did the following instructions

extract the rar to C:/Program Files/Adobe Photoshop
And then create a shortcut to photoshop.exe inside that folder and put it in your desktop

But when I click on the shortcut on the desktop, the program only opens for a split second and keeps closing..

Am I doing something wrong? I have Windows Vista Home Premium

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

plz run it in compatibility mode with XP at lower resolution,it however works fine.

Right click it and run as administrator, that normally fixes alot of problems for me
