| When I try to play Monkey Island 3 it asks me to install DirX 5.0, the game is fully installed but
Even when I try to install it (DirectX 5.0), nothing happens and I am unable to play the game.
What is happening? Is vista acting up again?
Any ideas?

| try installing direct x 9c ,google it around and u'll get it.

| Thanks for the advise, but still, the same problem arises.
It´s like it doesn´t recognize my directX or install the one that comes with the game.
I´d appreciate it if anyone could give tell me what to do.

| Hello, and again thanks, I installed DirectX in my machine, but is still looking for directx in my machine, it does not recognize it. do you think I should install directx 9c in a particular folder?

try updating your graphics card drivers...
the direct x should go into default folder and your pc should be able to read it ...

| Hello!
Thenk you for the effort and time you used to help me, but I´ve decided to give up. I tried everything, drivers, DirectX, emulators... nothing. So with all due respect and hating Vista so much more, I will proceed to delete the game. Is a solemn moment, I love Monkey Island saga and realising I wont be playing it soon hurts a bit.
