i finished downloading all 5 parts of the full game as well as the the crack, i put all these files into one folder and began to extract, but when it finishes, it says ------set up file "gameinfo.txt" does not exist in hl2--------- what does that mean? help, i really want to play this game....thx

Do u get that error while extracting 5 prts?
after extracting 5 parts do u get further parts in zip format? if yes, had u extracted them & installed the game.

That may be possible, as some part(s) may be corrupted.

check size of all 4 parts and c that do they match as they were specified at rapidshare.

i got that error after part 5 had reached 100%, so no, i could not get any further after part 5 was completed
as for the size of the files, file 1-4 all has 507,813kb, part5 has 353,327kb and the crack is 1kb
i am not sure whether the part(s) may be corrupted but right now i am stuck....

All of ur parts look corrupted, they can't have that small size like 813 kb and all that! INfact part 1-4 are of ~ 495 MB each! & crack is of 97 kb. that showz ur parts are def. corrupted.

please download all the parts again.Use IDM /Free download manager/DAP.otherwise install viz firefox as default .

I suggest using firefox.
