Left 4 Dead Help Can't hear Gun shots

Hello im new to this but here it go's. When i got done downloading L4d it worked fine I used snb_rebuildaudiocache to fix the back round noises,but now I can't hear the Gun noises or there delayed by a couple of seconds. Any Ideas how to fix?

TRY UPGRADING Ur sound drivers to latest...or change sound settings in the game itself to the lowest.

If it still doesn't solve it...may b its natural as its the Ripped version of the same
